· Kit (ConvertKit)

Kit: 25% off the first year of Pro on annual billing (limited-time offer)

On 2026-10-20 Kit's pricing page showed an 'extra 25% off first year' offer on the Pro plan with yearly billing (e.g. $1,418 first year at 10,000 subscribers vs a regular $158/mo billed yearly). The discount applies to the first year only; the plan renews at the standard rate. Our calculator uses standard prices, not the promo.

Brevo and Mailchimp added to tracking

We added Brevo and Mailchimp from their official pricing data. Brevo prices by monthly email volume (each volume tier also caps stored contacts); we convert tiers to subscriber counts assuming 4 sends per subscriber per month. Mailchimp prices by stored contacts with a monthly send limit per tier and overage charges above it; it publishes monthly prices only (annual via sales). Paid newsletter subscriptions and website-on-own-domain are not listed on either pricing page and are marked unverified.

We recorded current list prices for beehiiv, Kit, MailerLite, Ghost(Pro), Buttondown, Substack and EmailOctopus from their official pricing pages. Future changes are logged against this baseline. Brevo and Mailchimp were added later the same day, once every tier was verified (separate entry).

· beehiiv

beehiiv renames plans and raises prices (Scale → Lite, Max → Pro)

beehiiv replaced Launch/Scale/Max with Free/Lite/Pro (Enterprise unchanged). New prices apply to new customers from October 1, 2026. Existing customers keep their current price until their first renewal on or after November 1, 2026; monthly customers get at least 30 days' notice, annual customers keep their price to the end of the term. Pro now goes up to 250,000 subscribers self-serve; the Free plan still covers up to 2,500 subscribers and beehiiv still takes 0% of paid subscription revenue.

  • At 10,000 subscribers on monthly billing, The Verge reports Lite at $139/mo (was $109 on Scale) and Pro at $239/mo (was $219 on Max). beehiiv's own pricing page confirms $139 and $239 monthly, or $119 and $199 per month billed yearly.
  • That is +$30/mo (+27.5%) for Lite and +$20/mo (+9.1%) for Pro at 10,000 subscribers.
  • beehiiv says some accounts that had grown past their billed subscriber tier are being moved to the matching tier, billed from the first renewal on or after November 1, 2026.
