11 of the email platforms we track publish a nonprofit discount, from 15% to 50% off. The discount only matters on a paid plan, though: at 5,000 subscribers Kit and Substack still cost nothing, and the cheapest paid plan after discount is Buttondown Paid (usage-based) at $14.50/month (50% off $29).
Who gives nonprofits a discount
Terms as published on each platform's own page, checked 21 Oct 2026. Every discount needs proof of nonprofit status, and most must be requested before you pay.

No published nonprofit discount found for beehiiv, Substack, Flodesk, Klaviyo, Omnisend, Shopify Email, SendPulse, HubSpot (checked 21 Oct 2026); Kit says only that existing nonprofit discounts carry over to its 2025 prices, without a rate.

The fine print that changes the math
- GetResponse: the 50% lasts 24 months and requires a link to GetResponse on your website; after that, $54/month at 5,000 contacts.
- MailerLite: the 30% replaces the annual-billing discount instead of adding to it ($34.30/month at 5,000 subscribers).
- AWeber: new nonprofit accounts get 3 months of Lite or Plus free first; the table shows the ongoing 25%-off price.
- Moosend: the 25% can be combined with its 20% annual discount, so prepaying lowers it further.
- Mailjet: the 20% applies to monthly subscriptions only, not annual plans.
